Fruit And Nut Crumble
100 g / 4 oz California prunes
100 g / 4 oz dried apricots
100 g / 4 oz dried figs
100 g / 4 oz dried apples
TOPPING
100 g / 4 oz wholewheat flour
50 g / 2 oz prune puree
25 g / 1 oz dark brown sugar
25 g / 1 oz hazelnuts
Soak fruit overnight if necessary. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, until softened. Place in an ovenproof dish. Place flour in a bowl, rub in prune puree until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add sugar and nuts. Bake at 200C (400F) gas 6 for 25 minutes, serve with natural yoghurt.
